PUNXSUTAWNEY - State police in Punxsutawney are investigating a burglary and cruelty to animal charges in an incident in the Summerville borough. Sometime Tuesday night, someone broke into the home of 55-year-old Susan Hummel on Water Street and covered her dog in manure before fleeing the residence. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
